Be a superhero: Donate to SIRS

In previous years we would also assisting families with rental assistance as they work towards independence. And we would also preparing for a new family’s arrival and requesting gently-used furniture, furnishings and household goods; storage space; and gift cards for new items we would need to provide (ex: car seats, pillows, winter coats, perishable groceries, etc.). However, our Stamford-based families are financially independent, and we are not currently in a position to welcome a new family of refugees or Special Immigrant Visa holders. SIRS, however, is currently assisting with immigration fees, summer camp and swimming fees, education expenses and some dental expenses.
“80 years ago, this was my mother’s family. I’m so happy to be able to help in some way.”
